KVH wooden elements are made of solid wood. They are made by finger-jointing pieces of wood, from which major defects are removed. In this way, stresses in the wood are eliminated and the wood behaves much better.
KVH wood has high mechanical strengths.
By removing defects in the wood and by cutting and re-fitting the wood pieces into the teeth, the stresses inside the wood are eliminated and its tendency to warp is practically minimized.
As well as its practical advantages and ease of assembly, it also has an aesthetic function and is a popular material among architects.
